• "Gheorghe Lazar" award of the Romanian Academy, 1972, for the monograph "Mathematical Methods in Medicine and Biology"; Distinguished standing and honorary appointment to the Research Board of Advisors of the American Biographical Institute; Inclusion in the "2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 20th Century" by the International Biographical Centre Cambridge, England.
